How to play

Setup

Two decks of ranks 1–12 (96 cards) plus four action cards. Each player starts with 10 cards. Matches last exactly 4 rounds; roles rotate.

Secret roles

  • Hoarder — only ranks 6–12; go out when every card fits.
  • Minimalist — only ranks 1–6; go out when every card fits.
  • River Rat — every card in a run of 3+ (ignore suit). Select a run, then press & hold 1 second to stack it in your hand. Or select one matching card and tap a stacked run to add it.
  • Love Monkey — every card in a pair/set (same rank). Select a pair/set, then press & hold 1 second to stack it. Or select one matching card and tap a stacked set to add it.

Rank 6 counts for both Hoarder and Minimalist.

Scoring

At round end, every fitted card scores and every misfit subtracts the same value:

  • Ranks 1–65 points
  • Ranks 7–1210 points
  • Wilds20 points

Wild & drawing

Before looking at hands, the Minimalist names one wild arrow and rank for everyone (▲ white cards or ▼ black cards). Every card of that face and rank is wild. The wild is shown on the table for all players.

On your turn: go out if your hand qualifies, otherwise tap the draw or discard pile once or twice (max 2). Discard as many as you drew (select one or two cards, then discard). After one draw you can stop with Done drawing. If a draw completes your go-out hand, you may go out or end the turn without discarding.

House rule: Same suit

Optional at match start. For Hoarder and Minimalist, every card must share one suit (wilds count as any). For River Rat, each run must be one suit (a white run and a black run both count). For Love Monkey, each pair/set must be one suit (mixed-suit pairs of different colors both count). Choose 2 suits (▲ white / ▼ black) or 4 suits (adds ◀ blue and ▶ red).

House rule: Safe after go-out

Optional at match start. When on, the player who went out cannot be hit by Hoarder's Tax, The Collector, or Wrecker during everyone else's final turns.

Action cards

Played immediately when drawn:

  • Hoarder's Tax — anyone over 20 cards discards down to 20.
  • The Collector — name a rank; others hand over one if they have it.
  • Pile Run — peek 10, take 2, shuffle the rest back.
  • Wrecker — steal 2 random cards from an opponent; they redraw 2.
