One Bad Actor knows the answer — collaborate, guess, then find the saboteur.
← Back to catalogHow to play
Goal
Work together on a vague clue… while The Bad Actor tries to steer you wrong. Guess the answer, then vote to catch the saboteur. Highest score after the rounds wins.
Lobby
- Create or join a room with a short code.
- Host picks categories / timer, then starts when enough players are ready.
- Optional Presenter mode (TV / cast) is read-only — no player seat.
Each round
- Discuss — Everyone sees the same clue. One player is secretly The Bad Actor and also sees the real answer. Talk it out before the timer ends.
- Submit — A designated non–Bad Actor locks in a group answer.
- Validate — Vote Yes/No: does that answer count as correct?
- Accuse — Vote for who you think The Bad Actor is (identity stays hidden until results).
- Results — Reveal The Bad Actor, catch/fooled outcome, and updated scores.
Scoring (typical)
- Group votes the answer correct → each non–Bad Actor scores.
- Accuse correctly → catchers score bonus.
- Accuse fails → The Bad Actor scores big (plus how many they fooled).
Exact point values appear on your phone each round.
Timer / timeout
If the discussion timer expires with no answer submitted, The Bad Actor automatically wins that round (skip submit / validate / accuse). Host can still lock early to move into answering.
Tips
- Non–Bad Actors: compare notes — someone may be steering off-script.
- Bad Actor: blend in; don’t reveal you already know the answer.
- Use a second device in Presenter mode for the big-screen clue + clock.
