Goal
Play 11 rounds. Highest cumulative score wins. Match columns on your 2×4 Court to smash points—mismatches hurt.
Setup
2–6 players. Each player is dealt 8 face-down cards (2×4 Court). Flip the top deck card to start discard.
Tee-off: Before turns begin, everyone flips exactly 2 court cards face-up.
Your turn
Every turn starts with a draw:
- Deck — then either:
- Swap the drawn card onto any court card (replaced card goes face-up on discard), or
- Pass — discard the draw, then flip one face-down court card
- Discard — take the top discard; you must swap it (cannot pass)
One face-down left: After a deck draw you may discard without flipping or swapping that last card (pass without flip). You can do this more than once while one face-down remains. Discard draws still require a swap.
Ending a round
When you replace or flip your last face-down card, you’re done. Every other player gets one final turn. Then remaining face-down cards flip up and the round is scored.
Scoring (columns)
Score each of the four vertical columns (top vs bottom), then sum them.
- Ernie copies its column partner. Two Ernies → both 0. Ernie + ATP → both 5.
- Face values: numbers 0–10, ATP = 5, Fault = −2.
- Match (same face value): add their sum (two 7s → +14).
- ATP + non-match: score +5 − other (ATP + 2 → +3).
- Mismatch (no ATP): subtract their sum (9 and 3 → −12).
- Bonus: two or more columns that are identical matches of the same value are doubled (two 10/10 columns → +80).
Cards (quick)
- 0 Net · 1–3 Dink · 4–6 Drive · 7–9 Lob · 10 Smash
- ATP (+5) · Ernie (wild) · Fault (−2)
